
Go Big Community Development is a community awareness and mobilization non-profit company in partnership with Ashwin Willemse Orient Community Development (Cape Town), Western Cape Marching Band Association, Department of Education, South African National Defense Force, South African Police Services, Department of Safety and Liaison and relevant role players with the common aim of instilling discipline in youths, preventing youth crime and drug abuse in communities. Our programs are designed to create a culture of discipline and safety, by reaching at-risk youths with the hope of reducing crime and drug abuse in our communities. The campaign aims to provide funding to hire and deploy professionally trained and managed youth outreach workers who work with the highest risk and gang involved youth in Nelson Mandela Bay.
To help sports clubs, schools and communities to be more successful in the instilling discipline into youths, prevention of youth crime and drug abuse.

Better known as “Addie” is the CEO and Founder of Go Big Community Development and the initiator of “Project School Marching Drill Inspiration” programme, and an enthusiastic South African youth development activist who’s unquestionably passionate about supporting people to be the safest and greatest they can be. An entrepreneur, sportsman, sports administrator, events planner, coach/manager and mentor committed to community and youth development success.
Lameez has been actively involved in sport as an Executive Member, Official, and player of the Titans Inline Roller Club and Sunset Surf Club for the past 25 years in Port Elizabeth. Her dynamic approach and experience in business & sport administration ensure a smooth and professionally run organisation. Through her businesses (La Zila Projects and Eco Grass Eastern Cape), she funds most of Go Big Community Development’s administration, programmes and competitions. Go Big Community Development’s flagship programme 'Project School Marching Drill Inspiration', the 'Go Big Marching Show Band Academy' as well as the 'Sunset Surf Club Night Surfing Classic' have benefitted tremendously through her company’s support and assistance.
Winston Petersen is an accomplished jazz maestro and legend in his own right, a prolific saxophonist who has been honoured by Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University for his contribution to music development. He owned the world famous Razzmatazz Jazz Club in Grace Street, Central for many years. Currently he owns the Music Box in Western Road, Central, and Port Elizabeth. His love for music and passion for youth development especially drug awareness initiatives keeps him involved in the organisation.
